Suspicious activity reported in Granton area
A press release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office
NEILLSVILLE — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has taken a complaint of a suspicious individual pushing his way into a residence after stating he worked for Dish Network.
It was reported that a plain, light blue truck arrived at a residence in the Granton area, and the driver said he worked for Dish Network. The driver asked if the resident had Dish, and after a short conversation, he pushed his way into the home and asked to see the remote. He then went over items on the remote before leaving.
The truck was seen in the area and had a similar contact with a different residence earlier. It appeared as if the operator was “checking out” different houses in the neighborhood.
The Clark County Sheriff’s Office wanted to inform everyone of the situation and of what is happening. If someone insists on entering your home or refuses to leave, please call your local law enforcement agency or the Clark County Sheriff’s Office at 715-743-3157, or dial 911. If possible, try to get a license plate number of the vehicle and inform law enforcement when you call.
