MARSHFIELD — The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin announced that four Marshfield High School boys golfers were selected as 2017 Honors Academic-All State student-athletes.

The GCAW honored a record 395 students from 129 different high school programs this season, whose average GPA was 3.724.

Brendan Schenider, Zach Hanson, Joe Kirschnik, and Grant Michaelis from the Marshfield boys golf team were among those to earn academic all-state honors.

Golfers eligible for the award needed to have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25; participation in at least 75 percent of their team’s varsity matches; and were sophomores, juniors, or seniors.
