Shirley M. Serritella, 92, Pittsville, died on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Three Oaks Health Service, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Joachim Catholic Church, Pittsville, where the visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.  Burial will take place in St. Joachim Cemetery. Buchanan/Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Shirley was born on October 13, 1924 in Chicago, to Clarence and Helen (Trapp) Leibundguth. She attended Austin High School in Chicago. After high school, she worked at a hotel in Chicago as an event planner booking many well-known big bands which started her love of music.

She married Frank Serritella on July 1, 1948. He died on September 29, 1989.Shirley and Frank owned and operated Pinecrest Supper Club, Pittsville, from 1969 until the early 1980’s. She was very active at St. Joachim parish as a past P.C.C.W. president and many other offices. Also cooked for the pastors at the parsonage.

She loved entertaining and was a tremendous cook. Her flower garden was her pride and joy.

For several years she worked at Baum’s Mercantile in Pittsville sharing her recipes and distributing samples.

She is survived by her daughters, Fran (Dale) Fox of Pittsville and Chris (Steve) Church of Wilburton, OK. She is also survived by John (Tracy) Jankowski of Mosinee and Kim (Shane) Dammann of Vesper, Carrie Manning of Carlton TX , Ginnie Francis Wilburton OK , Scott (Sue) Fox of Arpin, Gregg (Kim) Fox of Pittsville, Todd (Julie) Fox of Arpin, Darrell (Cindy) Fox of Vesper along with many great

grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son Michael.

Memorial will be established at a later date.

The Family wishes to thank all those at Ascera Care Hospice and Three Oaks especially Vickie, Jeanie, Ann and Jane for their kind and compassionate care.
