Sunday, June 11
Man arrested for battery – domestic abuse
Police responded at 3:45 p.m. to a report of possible domestic violence on the 500 block of N. St Joseph Ave. The victim said she had been hit by her boyfriend, and there was bruising on the side of her face. The boyfriend was arrested for battery – domestic abuse.
Monday, June 12
Business’ property damaged
The owner of a business on the 1200 block of S. Central Ave. reported that an item stored outside of the business was damaged, possibly struck by vehicle on June 3. The estimated damage was somewhere between $600-$800. There are no suspects at this time.
Marshfield man violates probation rules
Police responded at 10:13 p.m. to a report of an intoxicated 34-year-old Marshfield man refusing to leave a woman’s residence on the 800 block of E. Harrison St. The woman did not want enforcement action but did want him off the premises.
The man was on probation and was in violation of his rules, and a probation hold was placed on the man. He was booked at the Marshfield Police Department and then transported to Wood County Jail.
Tuesday, June 13
Police perform two warrant pickups
Police arrested a 38-year-old Marshfield woman for a valid Menominee, Michigan, warrant. She was taken to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and later transported to Marathon County Jail.
A 27-year-old Marshfield man was arrested on a valid Marshfield Police Department warrant. He was booked at the Marshfield Police Department, bond was posted, and he was released.
Wednesday, June 14
Man jailed for disorderly conduct
A 29-year-old man who recently moved to Marshfield and was staying at a residence on the 100 block of E. 17th St. reported being assaulted at 2:25 a.m. Police arrived, and three other individuals at the residence stated there was no physical disturbance. Additionally, there was no physical evidence to substantiate the man’s claim.
During the investigation the man was very vulgar and disruptive by yelling and swearing at officers and his fiancee. At one point he threw a water bottle in the direction of an officer and attempted to go back inside the residence after being told he was not welcome to stay.
The man was taken into custody after a brief struggle, booked, brought to the emergency room for medical clearance, and then transported to Wood County Jail for a charge of disorderly conduct.
Thursday, June 15
Lawnmower reported stolen
Police received a report that a lawnmower was stolen from a business on the 400 block of N. Central Ave. some time between June 8 and June 15. There are no suspects at this time. The complainant will contact police later if video surveillance of the incident is available.
Pulaski man arrested for second THC possession, fourth OWI
Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at 11:11 p.m. after it had stopped over a railroad crossing stop line on the 100 block of N. Central Ave. During the traffic stop a 33-year-old Pulaski man handed over a glass pipe and baggie of marijuana. The man performed field sobriety tests poorly and was arrested for operating while under the influence (OWI), fourth offense.
After a judge signed a warrant, a blood draw was performed. The man was later transported to Wood County Jail. Charges for second and subsequent possession of THC and OWI, fourth offense, will be directed to the Wood County district attorney’s office.
Friday, June 16
Man arrested for THC, drug paraphernalia possession
Police conducted a traffic stop on the 200 block of S. Central Ave. at 10:57 a.m. A K-9 unit positively alerted to the vehicle, indicating illegal substances were inside it.
Police searched the vehicle and located a multicolored glass pipe with fresh residue. The driver admitted the item was his, and he was placed under arrest for possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver was then transported to the Marshfield Police Department, where he was booked, and later released. Charges will be forwarded to the Wood County DA’s office.
Intoxicated man causes disturbance
Police responded at 12:56 p.m. to a report of an intoxicated 29-year-old man causing a disturbance on the 1300 block of N. Hume Ave. The man was arrested for disorderly conduct, bail jumping, and resisting an officer.
Officers took the man to the Saint Joseph’s Hospital ER for medical clearance. He refused medical care and was then transported to Wood County Jail.
Marshfield police assist Wisconsin State Patrol
At 3:51 p.m. a Wisconsin State Patrol officer brought a 59-year-old Summerville, Georgia, man to the Marshfield Police Department so he could post bond on an active Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
Marshfield police accepted the $406 bond in the form of a money order and provided a receipt to the man. The money order is being mailed to the Milwaukee County clerk of courts.
Man warned for disorderly conduct
Police responded to a report at 6:11 p.m. that a 42-year-old Marshfield man was causing a disturbance at Braem Park. A baseball game was taking place, and the man was reportedly walking into the outfield and taking pictures of the juvenile players. When confronted by parents, the man became upset and confrontational toward them.
Officers located the man near his residence a short time later and warned him about his behavior.
Saturday, June 17
Theft by fraud reported
A Marshfield man reported at 9:01 a.m. that he had applied for a loan from what he thought was a legitimate loan company on the internet. He supplied his personal identifying and bank account information.
The alleged personnel required that he buy $250 worth of iTunes cards, and then he would be reimbursed by transferring the loan amount and $249 into his bank account. The man later learned that neither the loan nor the reimbursement were deposited through his bank.
Marshfield man issued citations, taken into custody for warrant
At 12:17 a.m. police took a 24-year-old Marshfield man into custody for a Marshfield warrant following stopping the man for speeding on the 200 block of E. 21st St. The man was warned for speeding and was cited for obstructing an officer; operating without a valid license, second offense; and an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle.
After the man was unable to post bond, he was transported to Wood County Jail.
Man arrested for OAR
Police arrested a 24-year-old Marshfield man for operating after revocation (OAR) near the intersection of Grant Street and Chestnut Avenue. He was taken into custody, booked, released, and issued a citation for OAR.
