Vasiliki “Kiki” Beltaos
Vasiliki “Kiki” Beltaos, age 86, passed away gently and peacefully at the House of the Dove, Marshfield, on Thursday, June 15, 2017.
Kiki is survived by her husband, Stathis and her children, Elizabeth and Demetrios and her grandsons, William, Nick, Vincent and Miles.
Kiki was born in Athens, Greece where she lived until her family came to the United States in 1946 following World War II. Kiki graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee. She majored in art at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and earned her degree in 1954. Kiki taught elementary school in both Milwaukee and at the American Schools in Athens, Greece, where she met her husband. The couple moved to Milwaukee in 1960. Her husband joined the Marshfield Clinic in 1970 and since that time they have made Marshfield their home.
Kiki was instrumental in the opening of the New Visions Gallery of Art at the Marshfield Clinic. She also initiated the push to open a library at the old Grant School. Kiki will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Marshfield Public Library.
