Ten years ago

Andrew Olson accepted a summer internship at the Berkley National Laboratory of Science at the University of California. He graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 2005 and is the son of Kent and Cornelia Krahn Olson of Marshfield.

Twenty-five years ago

Piano students of Aimee Gillespie recently performed in a recital at the library. Those participating in the recital were Kim Randt, Heather Randt, Kevin Layde, Shannon Longmore, Kristi Kramer, Lisa Stenavich, Lauren Lynn, Joe Lynn, Finn Jacobsen, Brianne Schmoller, Luke Hoehn, Siri Framness, Laura Ebert, and Megan Pawlowski.

Fifty years ago

The annual Awards Day ceremony was held May 22 at Marshfield Senior High School. David Bradtke, Marilyn Lindow, Sandra Lindow, Lowell Tesky, Donald “Mike” Hoerl, and Ronald Patterson received Wisconsin honor scholarships, and Karen Regel, Gary Walter, and Gary Zoellner each were awarded a Wisconsin leadership scholarship.

Seventy-five years ago

The Marawood 4-H Club, with 28 members, collected more than 5,000 pounds of paper in just two days, and the paper was sold for a total of about $24. The money was to be converted into War Savings stamps and divided among the members in proportion to their effort in collecting the paper products.
