MARSHFIELD — Tiffany Meinders held Marshfield Columbus Catholic to just one hit in four innings as the Spencer softball team blanked the Dons 19-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game on Thursday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Spencer finishes its Cloverbelt East schedule with a perfect 14-0 record, the third-straight season in which the Rockets went undefeated on their way to the conference title. Spencer has now won 17 games in a row this season (17-4 overall) and 41 straight in Cloverbelt East play.

Columbus falls 4-11 overall and 2-10 in the Cloverbelt East. The Dons host Owen-Withee for a doubleheader on Friday to wrap-up their conference schedule.

Spencer scored multiple runs in all four of its at-bats, including six in the third and seven in the fourth to end the game via the 15-run rule.

Four Columbus pitchers combined to walk 20 Spencer batters. The Rockets had eight hits, including two from Faith Bauer. Cinnamin Harwood had a hit, walked three times, and scored four runs in the victory.

Zoe Stratman had Columbus’ lone hit.
