MARSHFIELD — Four Auburndale students placed in the Fleet Reserve Association essay contest. The contest was sponsored locally by Plover Branch 238 and was open to all students in grades seven through 12, including home schooled students.

On the local level of competition, Auburndale senior Samantha Jensen, freshman Natalie Aue, and seventh-grader Jonathan Linzmeier received first place in their respective grades. Alexandra Wolf placed second in grade 10.

Aue’s essay would then take second in regional competition.
