MARSHFIELD — April was National Volunteer Appreciation Month, and Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, part of Ascension, held a monthlong celebration to recognize and thank hospital volunteers for their time, talents, support, and kindness.

Balloons, recognition posters, and refreshments created a festive environment throughout April to express appreciation for the numerous ways in which volunteers contribute to the hospital, making a difference every day. All active volunteers were eligible to win in daily drawings for Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce & Industry gift certificates, totaling 30 winners.

Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital volunteers include adults, teens, students, career professionals, retirees, homemakers, former patients, family members, and friends. More than 500 volunteers supported patients, families, visitors, staff, and community outreach programs like Home Delivered Meals and collectively gave over 65,000 service hours in 2016.

To learn how to become a Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital volunteer, contact Volunteer Services at 715-387-7106.
