STEVENS POINT — Stevens Point continued its dominance by repeating as team champions at the 2017 Wisconsin Valley Conference Track & Field Meet on Tuesday at Goerke Field.

The Stevens Point boys won their sixth-straight WVC title and were the outdoor conference meet champions for the 15th time in the past 17 years. The Point girls took first for the third year in a row and have won 10 Valley outdoor championships since 2002.

The Marshfield girls finished fourth, and the boys were fifth in the team standings.

The Marshfield girls had a pair of conference champions and seven top-three finishes.

Senior Stephanie Rhodes won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet 2 inches, and junior Meg Bryan won the triple jump with a jump of 36-1¼ for the Tigers.

Bryan was also second in the long jump, finishing as the conference runner-up for the second year in a row, with a jump of 17-1½.

Alexa Aumann was second in the 800 meters in 2:26.61; Gracie Holland finished third in the pole vault (9 feet 6 inches); and the 800 relay team of Maddie Nikolai, Kaydee Johnson, Holland, and Bryan (1:49.27) and the 1,600 relay team of Aumann, Madysen Bohman, Johnson, and Nikolai (4:11.83) both finished third for Marshfield.

Wausau West’s Brooke Jaworski won four titles: the long jump and 100-, 200-, and 400-meter dashes.

The Marshfield boys had six top-three finishes, two from junior Quinton Alexander, who was fourth in both the discus (135 feet 1 inch) and the shot put (45-5).
