Pauline N. “Polly” Schiller

Pauline N. “Polly” Schiller, 86, Pittsville, died on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at UC Health West Chester Hospital, West Chester, Ohio.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pittsville, with Rev. Gary Markworth officiating. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery, Pittsville. The visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday at Buchanan / Rembs Funeral Home, Pittsville and from 10:00 am on Saturday until service time at St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Pauline was born on July 5, 1930 in Winona, MN to Milton and Lila (Goehring) Sperbeck. At an early age she moved with her family to the Veedum area and while in grade school moved to the Pittsville area where she attended Good Cheer School. She was united in marriage to Richard W. “Dick” Schiller on June 10, 1950 at Wesley United Methodist Church, Marshfield. He died on May 8, 2012.

Polly had been employed at Ray’s One Stop in Pittsville for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of and loved going to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pittsville and Thursday night bible study in Hamilton, Ohio.  She enjoyed quilting for various charities, bird watching, gardening, knitting and crocheting, watching the Brewers and driving or riding in Pontiacs.

She is survived by her children, Charles (Ginger) Schiller of Old Town, ME, Patricia (Gregory) Ryan of Mosinee, Lois (David) Bowman of West Chester, Ohio, Ruth (Mark) Cottrell of Oshkosh, Myron (Theresa) Schiller of Janesville and Richard M. Schiller of Pittsville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. She is further survived by a brother, John M. “Jack” (Judy) Sperbeck of St. Paul, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, 2 sons, Daniel and Theodore and a grandson, Eric Schiro.
