Tigers improve to 13-5

By Paul Lecker

Sports Reporter

MARSHFIELD — Emily Draeger tripled and scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the sixth inning to lift the Marshfield softball team to a 2-1 win over Antigo in nonconference action Monday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.

Rhiannon Corozolla had a sacrifice fly to score Megan Donahue in the fourth inning for the Tigers, tying the game at 1-1.

The score remained that way until the sixth when Marshfield (13-5) pulled ahead.

Donahue threw a complete-game four-hitter to earn the victory for the Tigers. She struck out 13 and walked one.

Marshfield plays at Wisconsin Valley Conference doubleheader at Wausau East on Tuesday.
