Columbus Catholic softball splits two at Royal Rumble

Seefluth hits for cycle in Dons’ win over Barneveld

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic softball team split a pair of games at the Wisconsin Rapids Assumption Royal Rumble on Saturday.

The Dons lost to Rosholt 7-3 and rebounded with an 11-9 victory over Barneveld. Columbus is now 4-9 this season.

In the win over Barneveld, Maren Seefluth hit for the cycle, going 4-for-5 with a single, double, triple, and two-run home run. She finished with four RBIs.

Ella Schultz earned the win for the Dons, striking out four in four innings.

Columbus plays at Gilman on Tuesday.
