Burton L. Meyer, 67, Marshfield, died on Thursday, May 11, 2017.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the McMillan Park Pavilion in the Township of McMillan, where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield.

Burton was born on September 5, 1949 in Postville, Iowa to Lloyd and Maxine (Huntsburger) Meyer. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He married Kimberly S. Seitz on September 17, 2010 in Wisconsin Rapids.

Burt was an avid sportsman and had been a member of the Marshfield Trap and Skeet Club.

He is survived by his wife, Kim and his children, Eric (Sara) Meyer of Marshfield, Shannon (Gage) Sizemore of Fenton, MO and Jillian (Jerry) Weldon of Laurel, MD and a stepdaughter, Heather Nikolai. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Dylan, Wesley and Brody Sizemore, Logan and Zakary Meyer, Bryce and Bristol Weldon and Hazel Howen. He is further survived by his sister, Bev (Jerry) Loftsgard, and brothers, Roger (Sue) Meyer and Russell (Mary Jo) Meyer and a sister-in-law, Lynne Meyer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Bruce.
