Columbus Catholic baseball routs Granton
Keffer strikes out nine in Dons’ win

GRANTON — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team used three big innings to get past Granton 10-1 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Friday.
The Dons scored three runs in the third and sixth innings and four in the seventh to end a mini two-game losing streak. Columbus is now 3-6 overall and 3-5 in the Cloverbelt East. Granton drops to 0-10 and 0-8 in the conference.
Bailey Keffer earned the win, striking out nine in six innings. Bryce Fuerlinger struck out the side in the seventh to finish it off for Columbus.
Fuerlinger was 3-for-4, Evan Dieringer was 2-for-3, and Keffer had two hits and two RBIs for the Dons.
Columbus plays at Neillsville on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
