Errors, walks prove costly as Marshfield baseball loses at Wisconsin Rapids
Tigers fall to 2-2

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Wisconsin Rapids plated three runs in both the second and sixth innings to down Marshfield 7-2 in a Wisconsin Valley Conference baseball game Tuesday at Witter Field.
The loss is Marshfield’s second in a row, and it drops to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. Rapids is now 6-3 and 2-2 in the WVC.
Marshfield pitchers combined to walk seven and were hurt by seven errors behind them.
Connor Jasurda allowed four runs and four walks in four innings to take the loss for the Tigers.
Paul Maguire and Jasurda each had two hits, and Maguire and Brandon Montalvo drove in Marshfield’s runs.
The Tigers host Wisconsin Rapids on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Jack Hackman Field.
