LOYAL — Jenna Schober had two triples and knocked in three runs, and Tiffany Meinders tossed a five-inning one-hitter as the Spencer softball team beat Loyal 10-0 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Monday at Loyal High School.

The win is Spencer’s fourth in a row and improves its record to 4-4 overall and 3-0 in the Cloverbelt East. Loyal is now 1-3 and 1-1 in the conference.

Sadie Mercier had three hits, and Lexi Baehr drove in a pair of runs for the Rockets.

Meinders struck out 14 and walked just one in the victory.

Spencer hosts Marshfield Columbus Catholic, weather permitting, at 5 p.m. Thursday.
