Marshfield boys golf takes team title at D.C. Everest Invitational
Tigers’ Michalski earns medalist honor with sizzling second nine

WAUSAU — The Marshfield boys golf team won the D.C. Everest Invitational on Friday at Greenwood Hills Country Club. The Tigers had a team score of 323 to win by six shots over Wauasu West.
Marshfield senior Derek Michalski was meet medalist, shooting a 1-under-par 71. He had a 31 on the front nine — his second nine of the day — including an eagle on the first hole and birdies on Nos. 4, 6, and 9.
Zach Hanson added an 80, Joe Kirschnik shot an 84, Brendan Schneider had an 88, and Ben Baur had a 91 for the Tigers.
Marshfield plays at the Wisconsin Rapids Triangular, along with Stevens Point, on Monday at Bull’s Eye Country Club.
