Columbus Catholic baseball no-hits Granton, wins first game of season
Charles Payant, Bryce Fuerlinger combine to blank Bulldogs

MARSHFIELD — Charles Payant and Bryce Fuerlinger combined on a five-inning no-hitter for the Marshfield Columbus Catholic baseball team in an 11-0 win over Granton on Tuesday at Hackman Field.
Payant struck out 10 in 3 1/3 innings, and Fuerlinger finished things up with three strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings for the Dons (1-3, 1-2 Cloverbelt Conference East Division).
Columbus scored in all four of its at-bats, including putting up six runs in the third.
Tyler Fuerlinger had a hit and three RBIs in the win for the Dons.
Columbus is scheduled to play at Greenwood on Friday.
