RIB LAKE — The Stratford softball team pounded out 12 hits and went on to rout Rib Lake 11-1 in a nonconference game Tuesday.
Stratford scored six runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back to improve to 5-1 this season. Rib Lake is 1-4.
Sammy Griesbach went 4-for-5 and scored three times, and Brittany Bredemann and Kiana Weiler each had two hits for the Tigers.
Weiler earned the win, striking out eight in a six-inning, complete-game effort. A day after pitching a five-inning perfect game, Weiler allowed just two hits and one walk on Tuesday.
Stratford plays a Marawood Conference South Division game Friday at Pittsville.
