Marshfield softball slides past Eau Claire North in eight innings

Pretsch knocks in game-winning run for Tigers

MARSHFIELD — Jordan Pretsch drove in Kaitlyn Konrardy for the winning run in the eighth inning to lift the Marshfield softball team to a 4-3 victory over Eau Claire North in a nonconference game Monday at the Marshfield Fairgrounds.
Marshfield scored once in the seventh inning to tie the game at 3-3 before walking it off in the eighth for its third-straight win to improve to 5-1 this season. North drops to 2-6.
Emily Draeger and Maddie Mews each had two hits for the Tigers, who had 10 in all.
Megan Donahue earned the win on the mound for Marshfield, striking out nine and scattering seven hits.
Marshfield plays a Wisconsin Valley Conference game at D.C. Everest on Tuesday.
