MARSHFIELD — The Central Wisconsin State Fair recently announced its lineup for grandstand entertainment.
Grandstand acts begin Aug. 30 at 7:30 p.m. with a concert featuring Sammy Kershaw, Aaron Tippin, and Collin Raye – Electric Roots and Boots.
“We actually approached them and put the concert together, but these three have performed together in the past, and they do some of these shows together,” said Central Wisconsin State Fair Manager Adam Fischer. “But the fair did approach them and seek to have them perform together.”
Blackhawk will hit the stage Aug. 31, and ‘70s and ‘80s rocker Eddie Money follows on Sept. 1.
“I’ve never seen his (Money’s) show, but I heard from a lot of people that he just does an amazing performance, and I love a lot of his hits,” said Fischer. “So we are really excited about having him come to central Wisconsin.”
The National Tractor Pullers Association tractor pull will be held at 6 p.m. the evening of Sept. 2.
Sept. 3 entertainment features the Big Air ATV Show performing two shows at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
“This is essentially like a stunt show where people are on their ATVs,” explained Fischer. “They are doing all of these crazy stunts that you just can’t believe anyone would ever do in the air. It’s going to be an amazing performance. There is music while they are doing it. It is truly a fun show to watch, so people are not going to want to miss it.”
The Action Auto Promotions Demo Derby will round up the schedule at 2 p.m. on Sept. 4.
