Armed robbery reported in township of Emmet

WAUSAU — At approximately 6:57 a.m. on March 28, Marathon County Sheriff’s Communications received a 911 call regarding an armed robbery that occurred at a rural residence on the 5000 block of Fairview Road in the township of Emmet.
Deputies from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office responded and are still on scene with investigators, and they are being assisted by the Wausau Police Department.
It has been learned that the victim was held at gunpoint for an undetermined amount of time. The suspects were described as a male Caucasian, approximately 5 feet 11 inches with a thin build; two male southeast Asians approximately 5 feet 4 inches; and possibly a female Asian. The suspects were wearing coverings over their faces, and they were armed with a handgun and a bat during the incident.
The suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction in a small, white pickup with no topper.
No one was physically injured during the robbery. The suspects are to be considered armed and dangerous. Do not confront them, but call your local law enforcement authorities.
Investigators are continuing the investigation and will conduct further canvassing of the area and crime scene processing.
