MARSHFIELD — Central Chamber Chorale accompanist Linda Feldt and Musical Director Greg Reierson both stepped down following the group’s annual spring concert series, which concluded March 19.

Feldt had a 26-year run as accompanist, and Reierson has served as director the past 21 years. Their joint departure was no coincidence.

“We decided a few years back that when we hang it up, we would hang it up at the same time,” said Reierson. “So each year we’d ask, ‘One more? One more?’

“We decided that this would be the year. … So we’ve been developing the transition to whoever takes over.”

The Central Chamber Chorale performs a concert series in the spring and fall of each year. The spring series featured 47 singers from Marshfield, Spencer, Arpin, Auburndale, Loyal, Pittsville, Wisconsin Rapids, Colby, and Medford as well as an 18-member orchestra.

Reierson was the seventh director in the Central Chamber Chorale’s 47-year history.
