Friday, March 10

Stray rooster caught on Upham Street

Police responded at 2:30 p.m. to a report of a stray rooster on the roadway on the 100 block of W. Upham St. The rooster was caught, transported to Wenzel’s Kennel, and placed in a pen with fresh water and food.

Tuesday, March 14

Two with probation violations taken into custody

At 10:04 a.m. police took a 65-year-old Marshfield man into custody on the 1600 block of N. Jean Ave. for a probation violation. After being taken to Saint Joseph’s Hospital for medical clearance, the man was transported to Wood County Jail.

At 11 a.m. a 31-year-old Marshfield woman was taken into custody on the 300 block of S. Peach Ave. for a probation violation. She was taken to the Marshfield Police Department, where booking procedures were performed, and later to Wood County Jail. A request for charges will be filed with the Wood County district attorney’s office.

Nineteen-year-old picked up for warrant

A 19-year-old man was taken into custody on the 200 block of E. Upham St. for outstanding warrants. He was booked and then transported to Wood County Jail.

Wednesday, March 15

Marshfield man taken into custody for probation violation

Police took a 27-year-old Marshfield man into custody on the 300 block of S. Central Ave. for a probation violation. He was taken to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, and later transported to Wood County Jail.

Woman arrested at police department

A 40-year-old Marshfield woman was arrested at the Marshfield Police Department for an active warrant issued through Clark County. The woman was at the department to submit information unrelated to the arrest warrant.

She was able to post the $235.50 bond and was released without incident.

Thursday, March 16

Cellphone stolen from Third Street residence

At 10:23 a.m. a Marshfield woman reported that her cellphone was stolen from her residence on the 300 block of W. Third St. some time after March 6. Investigation is ongoing.

Intoxicated man violates probation

Police responded at 4:35 p.m. to a report that a 38-year-old Marshfield man was in violation of his probation. Officers found the man at a residence on the 1600 block of N. Jean Ave. incapacitated by alcohol.

The man was transported to Saint Joseph’s Hospital by ambulance due to his intoxicated state. Probation and Parole was contacted, and it was determined a probation warrant would be placed on the man in lieu of a hold due to his medical condition.

Milwaukee man cited for OAR

Following a traffic stop near the intersection of West Sixth Street and South Oak Avenue, police arrested a 33-year-old Milwaukee man for operating after revocation, operating while under the influence-related. He was booked, issued a citation, and released.

Man with Marathon County warrant arrested

Police arrested a 30-year-old man on the 500 block of S. Maryknoll Ave. on a valid Marathon County warrant. He was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, where he was booked, and then to Marathon County Jail.

Friday, March 17

Marshfield man taken into custody for warrant

At 3:04 p.m. police took a 21-year-old Marshfield man into custody for a valid Wood County warrant after a traffic stop on the 1500 block of N. Chestnut Ave. The man was transported to the Marshfield Police Department, booked, able to post bond, and released.
