Marvin A. Hager, 87, Fenwood, died on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Stratford.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Sauter / Rembs Funeral Home, Stratford, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 am on Saturday until service time. Rev. Sue Eidahl will officiate. Burial will be in Fenwood Cemetery.

Marvin was born on January 11, 1930 in Fenwood, to Andrew and Alvina (Wiesman) Hager and was a graduate of Edgar High School. He farmed in the Fenwood area his entire life. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Marv is survived by his sisters, Adeline (Rex) Mortensen and Barbara Peterson, all of Wausau and Janice (Clarence) Dumke of Oshkosh. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Ella Weisenberger, Florence Zahn, Melba Jacobitz and Verna Wetterau and brothers, Gust and Warren Hager.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Country Terrace, Ascension Hospice, Bea and Walt Marohl, Marvin’s previous care givers, for their care and concern.

Memorials may be designated to Zion Lutheran Church, Stratford.
