GREENWOOD — After three separate parish annual meetings, three congregational votes, and much negotiation, three Lutheran parishes of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America from Withee, Longwood, and Greenwood have formally joined together under the service of a single pastor.

The single parish will be known as ONE in Christ, taken from the names of the three churches: Our Savior’s (Greenwood), Nazareth (Withee), and Emmanuel’s (Longwood). The three congregations will maintain their own church councils but will also form one united council. Pastor Brian Campbell was installed in a unified Sunday service held at Our Savior’s Church in Greenwood on Feb. 26.

The Rev. Laurie Skow-Anderson, assistant to the bishop of Wisconsin’s Northwest Synod and also the Synod’s director of evangelical mission, officiated Campbell’s installation.
