Second annual Local Food Expo set for March 14
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Marshfield area residents are encouraged to attend the second annual Local Food Expo, which will be held 4-7 p.m. on March 14 at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Lincoln Ave. in Marshfield.
The Local Food Expo is an educational event that allows Marshfield area farmers and food vendors to showcase their products to the community. It also gives community members the chance to meet local farmers and learn of the many health, environmental, and economic benefits of purchasing local food.
The Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers’ Spudmobile exhibit will be on display. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase meals with locally sourced ingredients from Chef C’s Munchie Mobile and sign up for summer produce through Community Supported Agriculture shares.
The event is organized by Marshfield Clinic and Healthy Lifestyles – Marshfield Area Coalition in partnership with the First Presbyterian Church Green Team. For more information contact Laura Zelenak at 715-221-8400 or healthy.lifestyles@MarshfieldClinic.org.
