Auburndale boys basketball edges Crivitz in OT to win WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal

Apaches host Stratford in regional final Saturday night

CRIVITZ — Luke Olsen poured in 16 points, and three others scored in double figures as well as the Auburndale boys basketball team tipped Crivitz 66-63 in overtime in a WIAA Division 4 regional semifinal Friday night at Crivitz High School.
Colton Wright added 11 points, and Collin Hawkins and Cale Jacoby each scored 10 for the sixth-seed Apaches, who improve to 17-7 and move on to a regional final where they will take on Marawood Conference South Division rival Stratford at 7 p.m. Saturday. Seventh-seeded Stratford (16-8) won at No. 2 Edgar 47-42 on Friday.
Auburndale defeated Stratford twice this season: 57-52 at home on Feb. 18 and 59-48 at Stratford on Dec. 8.
Auburndale trailed 24-19 at halftime before rallying to tie the game at 57-57 after regulation. The Apaches outscored sixth-seeded Crivitz (16-8) 9-6 in the extra four-minute period.
