MARSHFIELD — A Marshfield man was charged in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, on Jan. 30 after police said he was soliciting prostitution online.
Kenneth R. Schultz, 68, faces charges of prostitution and solicitation of a crime after police found a posting on Craigslist in which a man asked for sex in exchange for money.
A police detective posing as a 34-year-old female answered the advertised offer in which Schultz allegedly offered $100 for one hour of sex.
The pair arranged to meet on Jan. 27, but police were unable to make the meeting. In a follow-up the next day, Schultz offered more money for an encounter.
Detectives arranged a second meeting on Jan. 30. When Schultz arrived, he was taken into custody.
Schultz was then booked on misdemeanor charges of prostitution and solicitation of a crime. He was released from custody due to medical issues.
