Thorp tops Spencer in Cloverbelt boys basketball crossover

Rockets finish regular season with 7-15 record, play at Stratford in playoff opener Tuesday

THORP — Thorp held Spencer to 15 points in the first half and held on for a 45-35 win in the fifth-place game of the Cloverbelt Conference boys basketball crossovers on Thursday night at Thorp High School.

Thorp led 21-15 at halftime and outscored the Rockets by four in the second half to preserve the victory.

Jack Bezlyk topped the Rockets with 13 points, and Kameron Kryzanski led Thorp (11-11) with 14 points.

Spencer (7-15) will play a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal at Stratford on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
