Stratford boys basketball whips Chequamegon in Marawood crossover

Breit has 15 points, 12 rebounds for Tigers (14-8)

STRATFORD — Vaughn Breit had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Okley Wrensch added 14 points to lift the Stratford boys basketball team past Chequamegon 60-35 in the fifth-place game of Marawood Conference Crossovers on Thursday night at Stratford High School.

The Tigers led 28-16 at halftime and blew the game open in the second half, outscoring Chequamegon by 13.

Lance Heidmann added 11 points, and Wrensch also had five steals in the win for Stratford (14-8).

The Tigers will host a WIAA Division 4 regional quarterfinal Tuesday at 7 p.m. against Spencer.
