Auburndale girls basketball pushes past Athens

Balanced scoring attack leads Apaches

AUBURNDALE — Four Auburndale players scored nine points or more as the Apaches beat Athens 51-37 in a nonconference girls basketball game Tuesday at Auburndale High School.
Natalie Aue scored 10 points, and Hannah Bolder, Marissa Ponshock, and Rachel Gronemeyer each added nine points for Auburndale in its home victory.
Auburndale (10-11) ran out to a 35-22 lead by halftime and held on the rest of the way.
Auburndale will play in a Marawood Conference North-South crossover game Friday. An opponent and site is yet to be determined.
