Spencer boys basketball rides hot shooting to rout Colby

Rockets hit 11 3-pointers in home win

SPENCER — Spencer shot 52 percent and drilled 11 3-pointers as it rolled to an 81-52 victory over Colby in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Monday night at Spencer High School.

The Rockets were 32 of 62 overall from the floor and 11 of 25 from 3-point range in the victory.

Spencer is now 7-11 overall and 7-7 in the Cloverbelt East. Colby falls to 6-12 and 5-9 in the conference.

Jack Bezlyk was 5-for-7 on 3-pointers and had 29 points and 13 rebounds for Spencer. Collin Nieman added 11 points, and Noah Zastrow and Jacob Miller each scored 10 for the Rockets.

Spencer plays at Colby on Friday.
