Stratford boys basketball roughs up Northland Lutheran

Ten Tigers score in home win

STRATFORD — Vaughn Breit had 17 points, and 10 players in all scored for Stratford as it pounded Northland Lutheran 73-26 in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Friday night at Stratford High School.

Paul Huther and Jacob Danen each added 12 points for the Tigers, who are now 10-7 overall and 4-5 in the Marawood South. Northland Lutheran drops to 1-16 and 0-10 in the conference.

Stratford ran out to a 38-12 lead after a dominating first half and did not let up.

Stratford hosts Athens in a nonconference game Monday.
