Loyal holds off Spencer boys basketball

Bezlyk, Miller, Karau hit for double figures for Rockets

LOYAL — Loyal held a 13-2 free throw advantage, which proved to be the difference in a 57-49 victory over Spencer in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division boys basketball game Friday night at Loyal High School.

Loyal is now 14-4 overall and 11-2 in the Cloverbelt East. Spencer falls to 6-11 and 6-7 in the conference.

Loyal led 31-21 at halftime and held off the Rockets the rest of the way.

Jack Bezlyk had 15 points and six rebounds, and Jacob Miller had 12 points and seven rebounds for Spencer.

Cameron Brussow led Loyal with 26 points.

Spencer hosts Colby on Monday.
