STRATFORD — Stratford struggled shooting from the field and at the free throw line and dropped a 62-43 decision to Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division boys basketball game Tuesday night at Stratford High School.
Stratford shot just 39 percent (15 of 38) from the floor and was only 6 of 13 at the free throw line in the loss. The Tigers are now 9-7 overall and 3-5 in the Marawood South. Marathon improves to 11-4 on the year, 6-2 in conference play.
Vaughn Breit scored 12 points and had six rebounds to lead Stratford.
Stratford returns to action Friday at home against Northland Lutheran.
