UW-Rock County slips past UW-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball

Marauders drop to 5-11

MARSFIELD — The University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men’s basketball team was outscored by two points in each half and lost to UW-Rock County 87-83 in a Wisconsin Collegiate Conference West Division game Saturday afternoon at the Marauder Gym.

Both teams are now 5-11 overall and 3-5 in the WCC West.

Rock County led 38-36 at halftime and outscored the Marauders 49-47 in a high-scoring second half to close out the win.

Joseph Estrict had 23 points, Devin Klein added 21 points, and Covon Rudolph had 19 for the Marauders. All three finished with 10 rebounds.

UW-Marshfield hosts UW-Richland at 7:15 p.m. Monday.
