Monday, Jan. 23

Wallet reported stolen

A Marshfield man reported that someone stole his wallet from his residence on the 2200 block of S. Maple Ave. some time between Jan. 11 and Jan. 23. The wallet contained $120 and the man’s debit card. The man had no suspects, and the man’s roommate did not have any knowledge of the wallet.

Man taken into custody for battery, resisting

A Marshfield woman reported at 4 p.m. that her husband, a 27-year-old Marshfield man, had injured her hand while at their residence. The woman said there was ongoing physical abuse from the man.

It was reported that the man was in an apartment on the 300 block of W. Third St. Police made contact with him, and he failed to comply with officers’ directions and refused to exit the residence. Phone contact was established, and the man agreed to come out.

Police took the man into custody, and upon medical clearance he was to be transferred to Wood County Jail. Charges will be requested with the Wood County district attorney’s office.

Tuesday, Jan. 24

Gas drive-off reported at Central Avenue station

A man failed to pay for $35.61 worth of gas he pumped into a car at a gas station on the 2000 block of N. Central Ave. at 9:54 a.m. Investigation will continue.

Eighteen-year-old with warrant arrested

Police arrested an 18-year-old Marshfield man who had a valid warrant through Marathon County. Bond was posted, a new court date was issued, and the man was released.

Wednesday, Jan. 25

Shrubs ran over on Fourth Street

A Marshfield woman reported that some time between 8 a.m. and 9:11 a.m. a vehicle entered her yard on the 100 block of W. Fourth St. and ran over some shrubs. An officer observed tire tracks in the snow that went into the yard and stopped in front of the three damaged shrubs. There were two pieces of plastic near the shrubs that appeared to be from the striking vehicle.

The officer photographed the damage and gave the woman a victim brochure. There are no suspects.

Thursday, Jan. 26

Two men arrested for warrants

At 4:07 p.m. a Washington County Probation and Parole agent requested Marshfield officers arrest a subject at Saint Joseph’s Hospital for a Department of Corrections warrant. Officers went to the hospital, arrested the man, and transported him to Wood County Jail.

Following a traffic stop on the 1000 block of S. Central Ave. at 10:39 p.m., police arrested a 29-year-old Marshfield man on a valid Clark County warrant. The man was turned over to a Clark County deputy without incident.

Friday, Jan. 27

Man with five warrants taken into custody

Police took a 53-year-old Marshfield man into custody for a Wood County warrant and four Clark County warrants. He was brought to the Marshfield Police Department, where booking procedures were completed, and then to Wood County Jail.
