Auburndale boys basketball outlasts Stanley-Boyd

Wright nets 24 points for Apaches

STANLEY — Colton Wright continued his recent hot shooting with 24 points in the Auburndale boys basketball team’s 56-44 nonconference win over Stanley-Boyd on Tuesday at Stanley-Boyd High School.

Wright had seven 3-pointers and 27 points in a win last Friday against Pittsville. On Tuesday, Wright made 9 of 11 shots, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, to finish with 24 in the victory over Stanley-Boyd.

Luke Olsen added nine points, and Collin Hawkins had eight rebounds for the Apaches (9-6).

Auburndale will play at Marathon in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday.
