MARSHFIELD — Emma Haugen won three events and the all-around title to help lift the Marshfield gymnastics team to a 126.95-112.95 victory over Medford in a Great Northern Conference dual meet Thursday at Marshfield High School.

Haugen won the all-around with a score of 33.15 and also took first in the floor exercise (8.9), balance beam (8.325), and uneven bars (7.525) for the Tigers.

Macey Smith and Isabelle Jensen tied for second in the all-around with scores of 31.1 for Marshfield.

Smith won the vault with a score of 8.5 and was third in the floor (8.5). Melanie Hafenbredl finished second in the floor (8.75) for Marshfield.

“We put in some new upgrades and are excited to see how it pans out on Saturday at our varsity invite in Antigo,” Marshfield coach Allie Dryer said. “Although beam and bars scores were lower than we anticipated today, the girls really had an excellent meet with some of the strongest routines we have seen all season.”

Following Saturday’s meet at Antigo, Marshfield will host Ashland for a GNC meet Feb. 2.
