Auburndale girls basketball pushes past Pittsville

Huge second half lifts Apaches to victory

AUBURNDALE — Hannah Bolder scored 11 points and grabbed six rebounds to help lead the Auburndale girls basketball team to a 51-21 victory over Pittsville in a Marawood Conference South Division game Thursday night at Auburndale High School.

The Apaches led 16-10 after a low-scoring first half before blowing the game open with a 24-point advantage over the second 18-minute session.

Mackenzie Raab added 10 points, and Brooke Anderson had five steals for Auburndale (8-7, 4-4 Marawood South).

Pittsville drops to 1-15 and 0-9 in the conference.

Auburndale plays at first-place Marathon on Tuesday.
