HURLEY — Stratford jumped out to a big first-half lead with a relentless defensive effort and downed Hurley 35-20 in a low-scoring nonconference girls basketball game Saturday at Hurley High School.
Stratford (12-3) led 22-4 after a dominating first half and held on from there for the victory.
Andie Zuelke scored 10 points, and Sammy Griesbach added eight for the Tigers.
Stratford returns to action Thursday at home against Wisconsin Rapids Assumption.
