Bernard A. Speth, 96, Marshfield, died on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Savarimuthu Selvaraj officiating. Burial will take place in Alma Center. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:30 pm until service time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Bernard was born on July 9, 1920 in Jackson County, Wisconsin, to Henry and Sophia (Hohn) Speth. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

He married Dorothy J. Crump Bushendorf on July 22, 1989 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Hewitt.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Dorothy and stepchildren, Bonnie (Bill) Zais of Eau Claire, Harold (Judy) Bushendorf, and William Bushendorf. He is also survived by 4 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a step granddaughter, Jessica Zais.
