Columbus Catholic boys basketball now 8-0 after win over Gilman
Schultz leads Dons with 26 points

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Columbus Catholic boys basketball team raced out to a huge first-half advantage and went on to beat Gilman 78-41 in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division game Thursday night at Columbus Catholic High School.
The Dons led 49-23 by halftime and held Gilman to 18 points in the second half to secure the victory.
Columbus Catholic is now 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the Cloverbelt East this season. Gilman falls to 3-6 and 1-5 in conference play.
Hunter Schultz scored 26 points, and Tyler Fuerlinger added 23 for the Dons, who had nine players score in the victory.
Columbus is off until Jan. 3 when it plays a nonconference game at Marathon.
