MARSHFIELD — As part of the Safe Routes to School Program and through donations from local businesses, the city of Marshfield gave away 14 new bicycles to students participating in the 2016 Walk/Bike to School Challenge. On Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, city staff surprised 14 students in Marshfield schools that walked or bicycled to school at least 18 days in the month of October by announcing the winners in an assembly. This is the seventh year that the city has hosted the event.
