Spencer girls basketball beats winless Pittsville

Baehr leads Rockets with 23 points

SPENCER — Lexi Baehr scored 23 points, made 11 of 14 free throws, and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Spencer girls basketball team to a 48-30 nonconference win over Pittsville on Monday night at Spencer High School.

Spencer is now 5-2 overall and sends Pittsville to its sixth-straight loss to start the season.

Courtney Buss added nine points for Spencer.

Spencer hosts Loyal in a Cloverbelt Conference East Division matchup Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
