Cloverbelt Conference joins forces to conquer cancer

For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD – Columbus Catholic High School and Owen-Withee High School had students diagnosed with cancer last year. Near the end of last year’s basketball season, Columbus Catholic hosted a fundraiser called Hoops for Hope. That fundraiser raised over $6,000 for the Marshfield Clinic Pediatric Oncology department. This year, the entire conference is rallying together and is proud to present “The Cloverbelt Conquers Cancer!”
The goal is a simple one: Get every school in the Eastern Cloverbelt conference to host one fundraiser at a home basketball game this winter to raise awareness and money for Owen-Withee’s Maki family and the Marshfield Clinic Pediatric Oncology department. All money raised will be split evenly between the two funds.
No two events will be the same.
