Auburndale boys basketball falls to Assumption

Apaches drop to 1-2

AUBURNDALE — The Auburndale boys basketball team dropped to 1-2 this season with a 60-55 loss to Wisconsin Rapids Assumption in a Marawood Conference South Division game Tuesday night at Auburndale High School.

The Apaches are now 1-1 in the Marawood South. Assumption improves to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.

Colton Wright had 13 points, and Luke Olsen and Collin Hawkins each added 11 for Auburndale.

Auburndale made just 17 of 47 shots from the field in the loss but stayed close by making 17 of 22 free throws and four 3-pointers.

The Apaches play at Pittsville on Friday.
