Laird Fund for the Arts calls for proposals
For Hub City Times
MARSHFIELD — Helen Connor Laird had two passions: education and the arts. Both of those areas continue to be served today by the Laird Endowment Fund for the Arts, which has distributed more than $1 million in support for the fine arts.
The Laird Endowment Fund for the Arts Advisory Committee is calling for proposals that support cultural or artistic events to be held in the 340-seat Helen Connor Laird Theatre or up to 90-seat Black Box theatre at UW-Marshfield/Wood County. To be eligible, events must:
—Be held in a theater of the Helen Connor Laird Fine Arts Building.
—Occur between July 1, 2017, and June 30, 2018.
—Be organized, produced, or conducted by individuals or representatives of the community groups from the area served by the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County campus.
The proposal guidelines and application form is available by calling The University Foundation at the UW-Marshfield/Wood County at 715-384-1703, emailing [email protected], or visiting marshfield.uwc.edu/community/foundation/laird-fund.
All proposals are due Feb. 1, 2017, to The University Foundation. The Laird Endowment Fund for the Arts Advisory Committee will determine the allocation of funds and notify proposal authors of its decisions by March 15, 2017.
